As much as I hate to admit it, Kim 'n them didn't do so bad with their clothing line. Their pieces are pleasantly youthful and have the reserved sex appeal that I prefer. Though there are many goodies among the full-priced summer dresses and other apparel, it was the sequins and sale signs that really caught my eye.

My Attempt at UV Gel Nails
Labels:
Frugal Beauty
Every now and again, I get the inspiration to complicate my life with a new DIY project. This time, my obsession was my nails. Who Needs a Diamond? Non-Traditional Engagement Rings
Labels:
Frugal Wedding
My fellow brides-to-be, I'm torn. Still ringless, I've been thinking about what kind of engagement ring I would want. A shining diamond ring can still make my heart flutter, but lately I'm finding colored stones very exciting, even regal!
I was surprised to find that many brides-to-be are opting for non-traditional engagement rings. We could thank Kate Middleton's famed heirloom sapphire ring, but even semi-precious stones are making a grand appearance. My favorite part: since they are less expensive, you can afford to go larger than you might with a diamond.
So if you're offbeat like me, here are some unique rings to tell the world "I'm taken!"
